Founder & CEO, Crackle PR
Most tech PR RFPs select for agencies good at writing RFP responses — not at PR. This is the 30-question RFP we'd use if we were on the buying side. It's designed to surface real capability in 60 minutes of reading.

Frequently asked questions
How long should a tech PR agency RFP be?
Under 30 questions. Long RFPs select for agencies good at responding to RFPs, not at PR. The 30-question framework here covers team, media, GEO, strategy, measurement, and contract — enough to score real capability without burying your team in proposal review.
What's the most important RFP question?
"Who specifically will be on our account, and how many other accounts will they work on?" Account staffing predicts execution quality more than any other variable.
Should I include a GEO section in my PR RFP?
Yes. In 2026, AI search is a primary B2B discovery channel. An RFP without GEO questions selects for agencies still optimized for the 2020 search landscape.
How many tech PR agencies should I include in an RFP?
Three to five. More than five and you can\'t evaluate seriously; fewer than three and you don\'t have a real comparison.
What's a fair RFP timeline for a tech PR agency?
Two to three weeks for the response, one week for shortlisting, one to two weeks for finalist presentations and references. Total: 4–6 weeks from RFP issue to signed contract.
