    Named Cadence · v1

The Operational Loop — 5 steps, every week.

Brief → Pitch → Land → Optimize → Report. The weekly cadence that turns the Crackle Framework into compounding earned media output.

    TL;DR

The Operational Loop is the 5-step weekly cadence Crackle PR runs on every account: Brief (Monday), Pitch (Tues–Weds), Land (rolling), Optimize (Thursday), Report (Friday). Every step produces a named artifact, every step is run by the senior strategist on the account, and every week's Report feeds the next week's Brief. It's the mechanism that turns strategy into shipped work.

    The five steps

Every step has a cadence, an owner (the senior strategist on the account, not a coordinator), and a named artifact that leaves the step. No artifact, no step.

    1. BriefMonday

Weekly intake: what's news this week, what's breaking in the category, what's worth pitching. Client-side updates, competitor moves, analyst notes, and reporter watchlists all land in one 45-minute standup.

Artifact: Weekly brief doc, prioritized pitch list, kill list.

    2. PitchTuesday–Wednesday

Senior strategists pitch directly to journalists they have working relationships with. No account coordinators, no relay-race handoffs, no AI-generated first drafts. The person the reporter replies to is the person who wrote the pitch.

Artifact: Pitch send log, reporter responses, booked interviews.

    3. LandRolling

Coverage placed in tier-1 and trade outlets, structured for both reach and AI citation eligibility. Every landed story is instrumented — canonical URL, quote extraction, backlink status, and schema markers logged the day it publishes.

Artifact: Coverage log, quote extractions, backlink status.

    4. OptimizeThursday

Repackage every win — pull-quotes, executive social, AI-extractable Q&A, schema-rich follow-on assets. Each earned placement is turned into three-to-five owned assets that link back to the source and reinforce topical entity coverage.

Artifact: Executive social posts, FAQ additions, glossary updates, follow-on bylines.

    5. ReportFriday

Transparent reporting tied to share of voice, AI citation lift, and pipeline-relevant metrics against the tracked-prompt basket established in the Framework's Listen stage. Vanity impressions are not reported.

Artifact: Weekly citation delta, share-of-model report, prompt-visibility changes, pipeline signals.

    Why weekly?

Monthly cadences hide misses. Quarterly cadences hide programs. A weekly Loop forces every deliverable — pitch, placement, follow-on asset, report — to land in a 5-day window, which is the only cadence that keeps a PR program honest against a news cycle that now moves in hours.

The Loop is also the mechanism that keeps the Framework's Measure stage from being a quarterly PDF. Because Report is a Friday deliverable, share-of-voice and AI citation deltas are visible inside the same week the work was done — which is the only cadence at which iteration is possible.
