Prompt Visibility

TL;DR: Whether and how your brand surfaces across a representative set of buyer prompts inside LLMs.

What is Prompt Visibility?

Prompt visibility is the practice of measuring whether and how a brand surfaces across a representative set of real buyer prompts inside major LLMs — typically a curated basket of category, comparison, evaluation, and 'best of' prompts run weekly or monthly. Unlike single-query citation tracking, prompt visibility looks at the full distribution: where you appear, what position in the answer, what context you're cited in (positive, neutral, comparative), and which competitors are cited alongside you. It is the equivalent of rank tracking for the answer-engine era. Crackle PR runs weekly prompt-visibility scans for clients across a curated basket of category, comparison, and 'best of' prompts — the answer-engine equivalent of rank tracking, and the earliest signal that a positioning shift is starting to land.

“Prompt visibility is the new rank tracking. The difference is that being invisible in a prompt is worse than being on page two of Google — there is no page two.”
